Let Me Introduce Myself..
I’m Ayesha (Rachel) Ikhlef – founder of OMK.
I’m English and a London-based mother of two, with a background in designing global learning initiatives that help young people grow in clarity, confidence, and understanding.
My own journey to faith as an adult gave me a deep appreciation for learning about God with understanding, meaning, and love — not just instruction. It made me realise how different faith feels when it’s rooted in revelation and real understanding.
I also saw how often children are taught what to do — the actions and the words — but not why. And I noticed how much more confident, willing, and connected they become when things are explained in a way they can genuinely understand.
When I couldn’t find the kind of high-quality, meaningful resources I wanted for my own children, I began researching, designing, and developing the kind of learning I wished existed — and that became Our Muslim Kids (OMK).
Today, I design and teach interactive learning experiences that help children grow in understanding and build a real, lasting connection with God.
A world where children grow up loving God and understanding their faith in a way that feels meaningful and relevant to them today.
